About
the Artist . . .
Jan Geoghegan is a
Connecticut native and presently maintains a studio here. In the
past she has lived in Japan, Okinawa, Tennessee, Virginia and
Delaware. It was while in Delaware that her artistic accomplishments
were initially recognized. She was among the founders of the Dover
Art League and an artist managed gallery. She taught a watercolor
workshop at the Academy of the Arts in Easton, Maryland and studied
with noted watercolorist, James Ernst.
In Connecticut, Jan's work has been featured in numerous
invitationals and solo exhibits including those sponsored by:

Jan participates each year in
the Artists Open Studio event in Northeast Connecticut. She is an
elected member of Connecticut Women Artists and Connecticut Academy
of Fine Arts. In addition, Jan has over 25 years of experience
in the repair and restoration of oil paintings in both private and
public collections.
